Loudoun County Independence Day Celebrations

Do you love fireworks or simply gathering with others in your community to celebrate? Independence Day Celebrations are a great time to get out and enjoy the region. And, since, there are so many options, you can spend the entire week celebrating!

June 29 – Star Spangled Sterling (Sterling Middle School track field at 201 W. Holly Avenue) 6:00-9:30 PM – features watermelon eating contest, games, live music, moon bounces and fireworks. There is also a pie baking contest – email sterling@loudoun.gov to enter the pie baking contest or call 703-430-9480 for more details.

June 30 – Independence Day the Hillsboro Way (Old Stone School) 5:00- PM. You should definitely put this one on your calendar! https://www.oldstoneschool.org/

July 3 – Independence Day Fireworks (Waterford) 6:00-9:30 PM. Start with a pot luck dinner and pie baking contest followed by fireworks. There will be a parade on July 4. http://www.waterfordcitizens.org/independence-day-celebrations/

July 3 – Lovettsville Independence Day Celebration (Lovettsville Community Center, 57 E Broad Way) 5:30-9:30. Activities include a parade, childrens’ activities and fireworks.

July 4 – Leesburg Independence Day Parade and Fireworks. Parade at 10:00 AM starting at Ida Lee Park. Enjoy a concert and Fireworks at Ida Lee Park – gates open at 6:00 PM. https://www.leesburgva.gov/government/departments/parks-recreation/festivals-community-events/independence-day

July 4 – Ol’ Time Fourth of July Celebration (Claude Moore Park, Sterling) with live music, pony and wagon rides, concessions and more 10:30-3:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 for ages 5 and up.
