October is probably my favorite month of the year. The weather is usually beautiful, the leaves are changing colors and everyone is settled in the school year schedule! It is also perfect for spending time outdoors, and the many fall festivals make it easy to enjoy the outdoors.
You could spend every weekend at a corn maze or pumpkin patch in the Loudoun County area and still not have made it to all of them. One of the most iconic corn mazes is the one at Temple Hall. The Temple Hall Fall Festival is open weekends until November 5 (https://www.novaparks.com/events/temple-hall-fall-festival). Tickets can be purchased online.
If you want to explore the area a bit more, check out the Corn Maze in the Plains (https://www.cornmazeintheplains.com/). It is also open weekends through November 5.
In addition, many of the local farms have their own corn mazes. Great Country Farms hosts a fall festival, now through the end of the month http://greatcountryfarms.com/festivals-events/fall-pumpkin-harvest-festival/. Wayside Farms in Berryville is another local option https://www.waysidefarmfun.com/.
Maybe this is the year you road trip to explore the best corn mazes in Virginia. Many of these are not that far and offer a great excuse for some family time! If you get an opportunity to visit any of these, leave a comment! https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/virginia/corn-mazes-va/ or https://www.themaize.com/virginia-corn-mazes or http://cornmazesandmore.org/VAnorthern.php
